Open-fronted shops line the streets selling the kind of wares Chinese people have bought for centuries. Live snakes are on sale here, for medicinal use or as an exotic culinary dish. Pythons, Cobra’s, and a selection of many different varieties imported from China to Hong Kong, are kept in cages outside the shops. Fancy a glass of snake-gallbladder wine?
